so, why do you tweet?

This recording is an abridged version of a presentation I gave at HighEdWeb10 in Cincinnati. It explores the allure behind some social media using Twitter as a backdrop.

Fascinating! I originally started out my explorations of Twitter when I had decided to do some writing on Associated Content/Yahoo ~ an avenue I thought would be good to promote some of the content I was producing. At first I was really let down by it, and another friend (Trey Pennington) gave me a slight bit of advice, and I decided to stick with it, and push the realms to which I enjoy in. It has truly brought such a rewarding experience for me in creative fields of literature (poetry) and the arts. I don’t “promote” so much anymore, it has become a way of sharing, inspiring, being inspired, getting that encouragement. Without any doubt, social media opens up a world that is amazing! I’m glad I decided to stay involved. ~Thank you for sharing your incredible insights here along your blog, which Twitter just so happened to direct me to, and I’m always curious, so here I am. 🙂 ~April
